What's new

CTRL/Project 7.6.8 — Income - Expenses = Profits! (2008/02/01)

This is certainly one of CTRL/Project’s finest advancements in project management and professional services billing.
Some of its new remarkable features include:

  • CTRL/Project = ProfitsA new “Project profile” option to configure rules for use of active projects and activities on time sheets.  Depending on the parameters defined in a specific project profile, only employees who have been included in the profile can enter the project on their time sheet.  Also use this feature to control activity.  Project input errors are now a thing of the past, thanks to effective control from the bottom up.
  • The work in progress report includes new “Bill” and “Billable” columns to improve analysis and understanding of works in progress where specific billing rules are in use. This means billing projects can be prepared more accurately and effectively, even in complex environments.
  • With new billing parameters on a per-project basis, you can define a percentage of adjustment (discount – surcharge) to hourly rates, according to a standard rates table. Result: growth in the software’s ability to adapt to special situations where highly standardized billing rules are in use. The result… simplified use and time savings!
  • A new “Validation” tab has been added to the project “Budget” report to switch on an interactive validation of a cost overrun when purchase orders are entered.  A validation can be defined on a per-project or per-activity basis and the maximum percentage of a cost overrun can be defined according to the structure in use. Project managers can therefore more easily delegate control of purchases, and continue to maintain strict control over costs from the bottom up.

The latest improvements to the CTRL/Smigg application platform have also been incorporated in the newest version of CTRL/Project.
The new version contains an estimated 40 major management improvements. For more details on these advanced features, click on the following links “CTRL/Project News” or “CTRL/Smigg News” or go to “News” on the software program’s information page.

2007 Survey: Our Efforts Continue… to Serve you Better!  (01/10/2007)

Results from the latest CTRL customer satisfaction survey confirm the importance of our sustained efforts to provide customers with an advanced comprehensive integrated management solution.

Results show that 97% of our customers declare they are satisfied or extremely satisfied with CTRL software. What is also important is the fact that for 13 consecutive years, overall customer satisfaction has consistently exceeded 90% and over the last 4 years has surpassed 95%.

Few software developers can pride themselves on these kinds of results or hope to maintain customer loyalty for so long. These figures, however, suggest the importance of targeting excellence through our sustained efforts.

Your comments reveal that you appreciate the fact that we take the time to listen to your suggestions to find effective solutions and that we unfailingly devote ourselves to improving CTRL solutions. It’s simple, we target nothing less than excellence for our products so that they become benchmarks in the field and your help is valuable in achieving this objective.

These exceptional results would not be possible without the extraordinary participation of customers in our annual survey. To underscore this contribution, we have chosen to hold a random draw, to award one client a service plan worth over $375.

We are therefore pleased to announce that MARCON-DDM, a CTRL customer since 2004, will be receiving a CTRL service plan. MARCON-DDM is one of Canada’s leading multidisciplinary consulting companies to offer fully integrated services. Dedicated to helping businesses succeed, MARCON-DDM offers a wide range of management, research, consulting, turnkey project, marketing and marketing-communications services.

Congratulations to MARCON-DDM and thanks to all our clients who took the time to fill out and return the 2007 survey.

CTRL/File 7.5d – Even More Precision and Flexibility!  (22/06/2007)

CTRL/File’s new version 7.5d comes with improvements that will catapult your management precision to new heights.

Gestion-AlarmeThree levels of visual alarms, configured according to file type, have been added.  The alarms round out the software’s automatic prioritization of procedures and contextual help features.

Use the pending tasks window for quick access to a file’s procedure history.  A perfect example of how instant access to strategic information contributes to fast, informed decision-making and a situation-based customer approach.

CTRL/File’s batch emailing communication feature has also been improved with a new sample message database, making it easier to use standard messages more than once.

The “agenda and appointment scheduling” module has been refined to include a shaded appointment display and an easy-to-use “drag and drop” feature to reschedule appointments.  When an appointment is rescheduled, the display adjusts automatically.

Use the calendar browser to display 1, 2, 3 or more months simultaneously, according to preferences, and move from one date to another faster and easier.

CTRL/File now has icons to show an appointment’s status. Icons help to track the status of an appointment that has been added to the agenda (ex. planned, confirmed, completed). An icon also helps track the progress of a procedure, particularly where a procedure consists of several phases.

Pop-up “help balloons” automatically appear as you move the cursor over an appointment.  Help balloons contain information that has been entered in an appointment’s “comment” field.  This innovation is particularly useful for brief appointments or to view only part of the entire comments section.

Enhancements have also been made to the CTRL/Smigg application platform, including two visual features:  the ability to assign a user-specific skin and a new icon and toolbar display.

To view the enhancements version 7.5d has to offer, follow the links to CTRL/File, “What's New”.

CTRL/Clinique 7.8 — From Display to Performance!   (2007/01/08)

The newest version of CTRL/Clinic includes approximately 50 major improvements, a list of which can be consulted under “What's New” in the section entitled CTRL/Clinic.

Here are some of the key improvements to the new version of CTRL/Clinic:

Patient profile:

The “Profile” function, which allows you to assign a colour to a patient file, has been extended. Now visual colour indicators from patient lists also appear in the “appointment” and “agenda” files.

This function includes other valuable features such as a visual alarm to instantly view details about a patient during treatment.

Agenda:

New features in the agenda book allow you to activate integrated visual labels at the beginning of an appointment time slot.

You can now display a symbol to show the status of an appointment. With the introduction of new basic appointment status indicators, you can visually track an appointment from creation, through procedures, to billing.

RAMQ:

The software features a new high-performance automatic RAMQ reconciliation statement.

More simply, special payment cutoff cases are no longer managed individually. The software now provides a reconciliation window in which an action is proposed. You simply adjust and confirm the actions that apply to each case. It’s that simple! The software automatically handles payments and billing adjustments.

This may sound too good to be true, but it is real!

Imaging:

The imaging module has also been enhanced. It is now compatible with leading acquisition formats, such as “S-Video, composite, “Twain, USB and coaxial. Because CTRL/Clinic is compatible with these formats, files are easier to manage and it eliminates the need for intermediate software.

The module also features an image editor that you can use to touch up, analyze and process images of your choice using CTRL/Clinic software. Some of the editing features include: rotation, colour correction, contrast and brightness, tint and saturation, Cropping and eight filters. “Zoom In-Out” and “Undo-Redo” features are also available.

These are significant improvements to the imaging module, when you consider that they substantially bring down the cost of integrating imaging in the operating room.

For more details about improvements in this new version, look under “What's New” in the information section of CTRL/Clinic.
